It is a story of resilience. Of finding your feet when the ground beneath you shifts. Of learning to dance in the rain. Of rebuilding, growing, and discovering parts of yourself you never knew existed.
It is the story rarely told behind the curtain — the quiet courage, the sleepless nights, the tears nobody sees, the laughter that heals, and the unwavering love that carries us forward.
And within that story, there is magic.
Meet Anja
I'm Anja, the heart behind Single Motherhood Magic.
My journey into single motherhood began from the very start. Not long after my son was born, I moved to Australia to build the life I hoped for us, and found myself raising him on the other side of the world, far from family and the support network I once knew.
Like many single mothers, I learned to wear many hats. I balanced motherhood, work, visas, financial pressures, and the endless responsibilities that come with carrying so much on your own.
There were days when the weight of it all felt too much. Days when I sat in the shower, tears streaming down my face, wondering how I was going to juggle it all while still being the present, loving mother my son so deserved.
Days when I felt like I had nothing left to give.
But morning always came.
And somehow, I got up and did it again.
And again.
And again.
I kept putting one foot in front of the other because deep down, I knew I had to keep moving forward.
Yet alongside the challenges, there was something else — the incredible privilege of living that very moment, of being a mother. The joy of watching my little human grow. The cuddles, the laughter, the bedtime stories, the tiny hand reaching for mine.
Single Motherhood Magic was born from that journey.
I created these cards to be the gentle reminders I often needed myself — reminders to slow down, trust myself, embrace the journey, and recognise the strength, beauty, and magic that can exist even in life's most difficult seasons.
My hope is that these words help you feel seen, understood, and a little less alone on your own journey.
